Supporting Literacy and Numeracy at Home with My Preschooler (Pre-recorded)

This workshop will explore the various ways that parents can support the development of literacy and numeracy skills at home with their preschool-aged children.

Speakers:

Connie Cassetta is the Preschool Education Consultant at the EMSB. Connie supports preschool teachers and school administration with the implementation of the Preschool Cycle Program. Her goal is to provide an understanding of global development in preschoolers and to promote engaging and developmentally appropriate activities that support the ministerial play-based program. 

Mélika Lahrar became, in 2021, the pedagogical consultant in mathematics for Preschool and Cycle 1 teachers. Her main objectives as a consultant are to promote innovative approaches and play-based activities to teachers to make the teaching and learning of math fun, authentic and engaging.
